Balsam Al Hashimi has a background in Biotechnology, with a Master's degree in Molecular aspects on human infertility diagnosis. They have worked as an Embryologist at the Institute of Embryo research and infertility treatment, then as a Clinical embryologist at The Reproductive Care Centre, and currently holds the position of Deputy Embryology Manager & Lead Embryologist in Genetics at London Women's Clinic. In addition, they completed a Master of Science in Clinical Embryology from the University of Leeds.
