Alison Henderson has an extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Alison started their career in 1986 as a Human Resources Manager at SSP Limited and worked there until 2000. From 2001 to 2008, they were an HR Manager at RHP. Alison then worked as the Head of Human Resources at Bracknell Forest Homes from 2008 to 2010. Afterwards, they joined Peabody as a Human Resources Director from 2010 to 2019. Subsequently, they served as the Director of People at Catalyst Housing Limited from 2019 to 2021. Alison then took on the role of Head of HR at Epilepsy Society from 2021 to 2022. Following that, they worked as the Interim Human Resources Director at St Mary's University, Twickenham from April 2022 to October 2022. Alison then served as the Interim Executive Director of People and OD at West London College from October 2022 to February 2023. Presently, they hold the position of Interim Director of People and Wellbeing at London Youth from February 2023.
Alison Henderson attended Holy Cross Convent but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Alison also obtained the Chartered FCIPD certification from CIPD.

We are London Youth: a charity on a mission to champion and strengthen London’s youth organisations so young people have the opportunities and skills they need to succeed. We do this with and through our members – a network of 600 youth organisations – and at our two outdoor residential centres, Hindleap Warren and Woodrow High House. Throughout our 135-year history, community youth organisations have provided a constant lifeline and a vital safe space outside the family and formal education, where young people can develop confidence, resilience and skills. Young people need opportunities outside school to have fun with their friends, to make a positive change in their communities and to shape the city they live in.
