Myriam Saldívar joined the Lone Star College System Board as Trustee District 6 in 2016. Ms. Saldívar grew up in Aldine, where she graduated from Aldine Sr. High School. After graduating high school, she attended Lone Star College-Tomball and later graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in International Studies and minor in Political Science. Her passion for community service led her to work for Texas State Representative Armando L. Walle as his District Director and as Chief of Staff to Texas State Representative Mary Ann Perez.
Myriam has been active in public service for more than six years, lending her passion to help their communities and empower individuals through education. Her passion, has led her to serve in the board of the Aldine-Greenspoint YMCA and Vecino Health Center as Chair. She also serves in the Hispanic Advisory Committee for the Houston Independent School District. In her spare time, Myriam enjoys traveling, hiking, jogging and anything outdoors.
