Disala de Silva is currently engaged as a Photonics Management Product Verification Engineer at Ciena, starting in January 2024. As a co-founder of both Hack the Hill and Lonehaven since October 2022 and November 2021 respectively, Disala de Silva showcases entrepreneurial skills. Previous experience includes a role as a Cloud DevOps Engineer at Nokia, a Software Engineer at TD, and a DevOps Engineer at both Sun Life and Co-operators. Additionally, Disala de Silva held positions as a Project Manager and Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa. Disala de Silva possesses a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Ottawa. Early career experience includes serving as an Assistant Swim Coach at Club Warriors Swim Club from September 2015 to August 2018.
