Claudia Sosa-Valderrama

Claudia Sosa-Valderrama is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Long Beach Unified School District, a position held since April 2014. Previous roles within the district include Director of Student Support Services and Director of the Head Start Program. Claudia has also contributed to higher education as an Adjunct Professor at Alliant International University and the University of La Verne. Prior experience includes various positions at the Los Angeles County Office of Education and El Monte City School District, where roles ranged from Assistant Director to School Psychologist. Claudia holds a Doctor of Psychology in Educational Psychology from Alliant International University-Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of La Verne.
