Melissa Sorvillo is a skilled digital content strategist with extensive experience in museum education and outreach. Since May 2014, Melissa has worked at Long Island Children's Museum, where responsibilities include developing and refining website content and coordinating cross-departmental efforts to enhance user experience. Previously, Melissa served as a social media manager, strengthening connections with the community through targeted strategies. Prior experience includes coordinating impactful toy distribution at the Toy Industry Foundation and holding various contractor roles in museum development and support. Melissa began their career as a museum educator and web content manager at the Science Museum of Long Island. Educational credentials include a BA in Science, Technology & Society from Vassar College and an MA in Museum Studies from The Johns Hopkins University.
