Danielle Silverstein, LMSW, has extensive experience in the field of social work and crisis intervention. Currently serving as the 988 Program Director at the Long Island Crisis Center since June 2022, Danielle previously held the position of Team Leader at the Association for Mental Health and Wellness, overseeing Crisis Counselors. Prior roles include Strategic Projects Director and Community Life Skills Trainer at New York Therapy Placement Services, where Danielle managed federally funded programming and conducted assessments for individuals with developmental disabilities. Earlier experience includes work as an Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist at YAI, volunteer at Camp Viva, and clinical internships at MercyFirst and Pederson Krag, focusing on direct care and therapeutic services for youth and individuals with mental health diagnoses. Danielle earned a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychoanalysis from Hampshire College.
