Drew Biondo

Drew Biondo serves as the Assistant Deputy Commissioner at the Suffolk County Police Department since January 2024 and as a Board Member of the Long Island Power Authority, where Biondo was reappointed to the Board of Trustees in February 2024. Previously, Biondo was a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson from July 2023 to June 2024 and held the position of Director of Communications at Suffolk County Community College from December 2013 to January 2024, playing a pivotal role in external media relations and social media strategy. Earlier experience includes serving on the Board of Trustees for the Long Island Power Authority from January 2018 to March 2023, and as Director of Communications & Press Secretary for New York State Senator Kenneth P. LaValle from December 2010 to December 2013. Biondo also has an extensive background in corporate communications and business development roles across various organizations, starting from the Suffolk County District Attorney's office in 1990. Biondo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Long Island University.
