Kimberly R. Cline is the current president of Long Island University. Kimberly was previously the president of Mercy College from 2008 to 2013, where they reversed a declining enrollment and improved the academic quality of the student body. Under their leadership, the college's endowment grew from $20 million to over $100 million. Kimberly also launched a unique student mentoring program and new academic programs in entrepreneurship, international relations, communications, branding, and forensic science.
Before their tenure at Mercy College, Dr. Cline served as the Chief Financial Officer of The State University of New York from 1999 to 2008. In this role, they were responsible for the financial management of the university system, which includes 64 campuses and more than 400,000 students.
