Leno Zhao

Leno Zhao began their work experience as the COO and Co-Founder of Longan Vision Corp. in January 2018. Leno played an integral part in establishing the start-up company with partners, securing government and national research council projects, and implementing security initiatives. Prior to this, Leno served as an Engineering Co-op Student (Project Engineer Intern) at BERICAP from September 2017 to July 2018. During this time, they gained experience in procurement, mechanical engineering design, manufacturing plant layout design, manufacturing process improvement, and laboratory experimentation.

Leno Zhao obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering (Co-op) from McMaster University. Leno pursued this degree from 2014 to 2020. Following that, they enrolled in McMaster University again in 2020 and completed a Master of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they earned in 2022.
