Antonio Chavarria

Antonio Chavarria has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Antonio currently works as a Quality Assurance Team Lead at Longenecker & Associates since May 2020. Prior to that, they were the owner of both Desert Disc Golf in Santa Fe, NM starting from January 2015 and Los Alamos Disc Golf in Los Alamos, NM starting from July 2013. In these roles, they managed inventory and sales, organized tournaments and events, and engaged in community outreach.

Before entering the disc golf industry, Antonio worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Longnecker & Associates from May 2018 to May 2020. Antonio also served as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Nuclear Waste Partnership, LLC formerly Washington TRU Solutions, LLC from November 2010 to May 2018. In this role, they conducted inspections, surveillances, and audits related to waste characterization and packaging processes.

Earlier in their career, Antonio was a Quality Assurance Analyst at Washington TRU-Solution from July 2009 to November 2010. Antonio also gained research experience as an Endocrine Disrupting Compound Research Assistant at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology from October 2008 to July 2009, and as a Biofilm Research Assistant at the same institute from June 2005 to August 2005.

Additionally, Antonio worked as an Assistant for Arsenic Removal Systems in 2007. Overall, they possess a wide range of skills and experiences in quality assurance, research, and retail management.

Antonio Chavarria obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in the period between 2002 and 2009. Additionally, they have acquired various certifications, including TouchDesigner Operation Foundations from Badgr (now part of Instructure) in 2022, AWS Fundamentals: Addressing Security Risk and AWS Fundamentals: Going Cloud-Native from Coursera in 2020, Android App Components - Services, Local IPC, and Content Providers, Android App Components - Intents, Activities, and Broadcast Receivers, Java for Android, and Build Your First Android App (Project-Centered Course) from Coursera in 2017. Antonio also holds a Certified Quality Engineer certification from the American Society for Quality obtained in June 2013.
