Ashley Furman is an accomplished Project Support Engineer at Longenecker & Associates since June 2019, with responsibilities including serving as NQA-1 Lead Auditor for both L&A and JVC-LA projects and at Triad National Security for Los Alamos National Laboratory. Prior experience includes roles as an Engineering Apprentice at the Nuclear Materials Lab at North Carolina State University, where Ashley focused on creep/fatigue research, metallography, and microscopy. Additional internships include a position in Radiological Controls and Dosimetry at Nuclear Waste Partnership LLC and research activities in the Computational Materials Science Lab. Leadership capabilities were demonstrated as Region III President of Silver Wings, overseeing chapters in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Ashley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University and graduated from Overhills High School in 2014.
