Josef Byrne

Josef Byrne is a Biology of Aging PhD student at USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging. Prior to their current position, Josef worked as a Scientist in Downstream Vaccine Process Development at Merck, where Josef spearheaded process research evaluations and drove group meetings to optimize bioprocesses. Josef also held positions as an Associate Scientist and Intern at Merck, as well as an Undergraduate Biomolecular Research Assistant at Cornell University. Additionally, Josef has experience as a Technical Intern, Summer Research Assistant, and Camp Counselor, demonstrating their diverse background in research, engineering, and mentorship. Josef holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
