Xin Wang

Xin (Cindy) Wang, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience ranging from the fields of finance, consulting, academia, and the arts. Xin (Cindy) is currently a Vice President at Longitude Capital, a position they took on in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Dascena as a Senior Director, Strategy & Corporate Development from September 2020 to July 2022. In 2021, they also gained experience as an Assistant Cheesemaker at Daily Driver. Their consulting experience includes roles at L.E.K. Consulting, where they served as an Engagement Manager from January 2020 to September 2020, a Consultant - Life Sciences from June 2018 to January 2020, and a Life Sciences Specialist from September 2016 to June 2018. Xin (Cindy) also has an academic background, having worked as a Graduate Student and Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley from September 2011 to May 2016. Additionally, they held a China Fellow position at the Gardner Postgraduate Traveling Fellowship from 2010 to August 2011 and worked as a Researcher/Writer at Let's Go Publications from February 2010 to July 2010. Finally, they gained research and teaching experience at Harvard University as an Undergraduate Researcher and MCB80 Teaching Fellow from February 2007 to May 2010. Xin (Cindy) also has experience in the arts, having worked as an Artist Liaison at the Aspen Music Festival and School in June 2008.

Xin (Cindy) Wang, Ph.D. earned their Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology / Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. In 2016, they attended the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, specializing in Architecture through the Career Discovery program. Prior to their Ph.D., they obtained a B.A. from Harvard University in Chemical and Physical Biology and Music, graduating between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, they obtained a Dairy Operator, Vat Pasteurizer certification from the California Department of Food and Agriculture in January 2022.
