Matt Weidert

Matt Weidert is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Longleaf Lending. He began lending directly to Texas real estate investors in 2019 and closed over 40 loans before starting Longleaf Lending with Pete.

He was previously a Vice President in investment banking covering energy in Houston with deal experience including advisory, high yield, and leveraged loan transactions. Prior to his career in investment banking, he worked at Shell on the delivery of deepwater capital projects. Matt also served as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps which included multiple deployments to Afghanistan and the Middle East. Matt earned his MBA from Rice University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Matt is originally from California and is married with a son and a daughter.
