Tim Zimet

Tim Zimet has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tim currently holds the role of Performance Engineer at Longroad Energy Partners since June 2020. Prior to this, they volunteered as a Stanford Prison Education Project Volunteer from September 2019 to December 2019, where they co-taught a discussion-based course with students from Stanford and San Bruno. Tim also worked as an Engineering Intern at Smart Wires Inc. from June 2019 to October 2019, contributing to projects related to power flow software and contingency analysis. Additionally, Tim worked as an Engineering Intern at Power Factors from June 2018 to September 2018, where they expanded scripts for solar plant performance review and conducted customer usage analysis. Tim also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at Cornell University, focusing on Vertical Axis Wind Turbines for Urban Applications from August 2017 to May 2018, and Wind Farm Efficiency from January 2016 to December 2016. Tim's earlier experience includes serving as a Course Consultant Co-Supervisor at Cornell University College of Engineering from February 2015 to May 2018, and internships at Louis Berger and SunCommon, where they worked on projects related to offshore wind farms and solar traffic.

Tim Zimet earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Tim then pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering at Stanford University from 2018 to 2020.
