Simon Talling-Smith has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Simon began their career at British Airways, where they held various positions in sales and marketing from 1991 to 2001. Simon then served as the Head of eCommerce from 2001 to 2004, followed by a role as the Head of Product Management, where they were responsible for creating and developing customer products and services. Simon was later promoted to the position of Executive Vice-President, The Americas, and then as the Chairman of the American Airlines-British Airways-Iberia Joint Business from 2008 to 2013.
After their time at British Airways, Simon went on to become the President of Travelzoo, a global Internet media company, from 2013 to 2015. Simon then served as the CEO of Surf Air Europe, a company that offers unlimited flying for a monthly fee, from 2015 to 2019.
Simon's career also includes being the CEO of Voy Rewards Ltd, a universal travel loyalty platform built on the blockchain, from 2018 to 2019. Simon later joined Qatar Airways as the Chief Commercial Officer, where they achieved record growth in unit revenue and brand recognition. Simon held this position from 2019 to 2020.
Following their tenure at Qatar Airways, Simon worked as a Senior Adviser for the Boston Consulting Group, The Commons Project Foundation, and Longtail Technologies, where they provided strategic guidance and expertise.
