Leslie Degner

Leslie Degner is an experienced educator with a strong background in elementary education and environmental science. Since August 2017, Leslie has been teaching at Longview School District, previously serving at Evergreen Public Schools and Vancouver Public Schools in various 2nd and 4th grade roles. Leslie's experience in Longview School District includes a combination of long-term substitute teaching and paraeducator positions from 2007 to 2013. Prior to a career in education, Leslie worked as an environmental scientist and field biologist, specializing in wetland identification, endangered species surveys, and environmental impact assessments. Leslie holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin.
