Laura Poe

Laura Poe, Ph.D., is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in information systems and cyber security. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Longwood University since June 2020, Laura also holds adjunct faculty positions at Liberty University and the University of Richmond. In addition to academic roles, Laura is the CEO and Principal Consultant at DigiTek, providing services to clients including the Commonwealth of Virginia and Anthem. Laura has held various positions in the corporate sector, including Manager of Information Security at Capital One and Senior Business System Analyst at Dominion. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Indiana State University, as well as Master’s degrees in Theological Studies and Information Systems, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. In public service, Laura currently serves as a Councilwoman on the Colonial Heights City Council.
