Joaquim Magalhaes

Joaquim Magalhaes currently serves as the Associate Director of Global Quality Compliance at Lonza and is a member of the Expert Advisory Group on Unlicensed Medicines at The British Pharmacopoeia. With extensive experience in quality management and compliance, Joaquim has held positions such as Head of Quality at Ascend Gene & Cell Therapies and Quality Manager at Cancer Research UK. Additionally, Joaquim has been an Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London and has worked in various quality assurance and control roles at institutions such as Barts Health NHS Trust and Imanova Limited. Joaquim's educational background includes an MSc in Applied Chemistry from Coventry University and a BSc in Applied Chemical Sciences from the University of the West of England.
