Joerg Gampfer

Joerg Gampfer is an experienced leader in quality management and development within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Head of Strategic Quality Management at Lonza since February 2022, Gampfer previously held significant leadership roles including Vice President Development and Technology Service at Aenova Group and Vice President Quality at Hovione. Prior positions also include Head of Commercial Manufacturability & Platforms at Baxalta, where efforts were made to enhance manufacturability and minimize costs related to quality. Gampfer has extensive experience in implementing Quality by Design methodologies and has held key roles at Baxter International Inc. and Biomedical Research Corporation. Academic credentials include a Diploma in chemistry from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.
