Matthew S. has extensive work experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, and communications. Matthew began their career as an Intern at Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, where they were responsible for producing and posting video content for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. Matthew then worked as a Marketing Assistant/Communications Coordinator at the Canadian Film Centre, where they assisted in developing and executing social media plans and managed various platforms.

Matthew then moved on to work as an Account Coordinator (Intern) at LoyaltyOne, Co., where they gained experience in loyalty and multichannel direct marketing solutions. Matthew also worked as Vice President of Communications and Publications Director at the York Marketing Association, where they organized marketing-related events and managed communications.

Following that, Matthew worked as an Account Coordinator, Account Strategist, and Digital Intern at The Aber Group, a direct marketing agency. Matthew then joined Loblaw Digital as a Digital Marketing Specialist, where they focused on demand generation.

Most recently, Matthew worked at Looka as a Senior Growth Manager, responsible for making great design accessible and delightful for everyone. Matthew also served as a Growth Manager and Paid Acquisition Manager at the company.

Matthew S. completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a specialization in Marketing from York University between 2011 and 2015. In 2019, they attended the University of Toronto for a short-term course on Tools & Techniques of eCommerce, focusing on Digital Marketing. In 2018, they also attended BrainStation for an introductory course on Data Science. Prior to their university education, Matthew S. attended St. Francis Xavier Secondary School from 2007 to 2011.
