Tom Spooner has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tom started their career as an Editorial Assistant at Comma Press Publishers in 2005, where they worked until 2010. In 2010, they joined Spindle Magazine as a Music and Arts Writer, a role they held until 2013. During this time, they also worked as a Copywriter and PR Assistant at ACM Writing from 2010 to 2011.

From 2012 to 2013, Tom worked as an Operational Support Analyst at Nationwide Building Society before transitioning into freelance writing roles. Tom worked as a Freelance Writer for Something You Said in 2013 and as a Freelance Writer for Goldflake Paint starting from the same year.

Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, they attended Swindon College where they earned 4 A Levels in English Literature (British and Commonwealth), Philosophy, Sociology, and General Studies.
