Jacob Schulz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jacob began their career as an Associate Field Editor at Christopher-Gordon Publishers, where they maintained production responsibilities and established relationships with authors, clients, and vendors. Jacob then transitioned to EF Education First, where they worked as a Midwest Regional Manager, overseeing a team and managing marketing, payroll, and communication with international partners. Jacob later became a Travel Regional Manager, responsible for flight operations and contract negotiation. Jacob also worked as a Business Analyst, managing complex airline payment processes and quality control measures.
Moving on, Jacob joined Loomis, Sayles & Company, initially working as a Global Corporate Actions Analyst, where they managed class action litigation, quality control of data transfers, and work processes documentation. Jacob then took on the role of Paralegal, serving as a central point of contact for regulatory-related reporting for sophisticated clients and coordinating mutual fund client prospectus filings. As Vice President and Senior Paralegal, Jacob managed the entire proxy voting process and regulatory-related reporting for the firm's 40-Act clients. Currently, they serve as the Vice President and Director of Proxy Voting, reporting directly to the firm's Proxy Oversight Committee and overseeing the entire proxy voting process.
Jacob Schulz received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Bridgewater State University, which they completed between 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they passed Level I of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) examination through the CFA Institute. Jacob Schulz also obtained a Notary Public certification from the State of Massachusetts in November 2013.
