Leonard Newnham

Leonard Newnham is the current Chief Data Scientist at LoopMe. Leonard has also previously served as the Head of Machine Learning at NICE Systems and as the Chief Data Scientist at Causata.

Newnham has extensive experience working with large data sets and telecom data. Leonard has also been responsible for leading a team of data scientists and machine learning developers. In their previous role at Causata, Newnham successfully managed UI development, QA, and many other tasks. Leonard also oversaw a highly successful collaboration with the Centre for Computational Statistics and Machine Learning at UCL.

Under Newnham's leadership, Causata grew to a total of 45 people with 20 in the development team. The company was acquired by NICE Systems in August 2013.

After completing a Bachelor of Science in Physics at King's College London, Leonard Newnham went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Machine Learning from the University of Bradford.

They are on a team with Georgia Watson - Head of Sales, SEA, Sarah Rew - Senior Director, Global Marketing, and Vitaly Kotvinsky - Director of Engineering. Leonard Newnham reports to Stephen Upstone, CEO, Founder and Board Member.
