Briek Pauwels

Briek Pauwels has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2012, Briek worked as an Engineering Intern at Boulevard Brewing Company, where they created a plan of pipelines and gained an understanding of company management. In 2015, Briek interned as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at ArcelorMittal Gent, leading a project to replace expansion joints on a blast furnace gas pipeline. They used engineering calculations and software analysis to recommend the correct replacement joints. Briek also had roles at The Ronnie K. Irani Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth (I-CCEW) as a Team Leader and Interdisciplinary Analyst. In the former role, Briek researched marketing methods for an app specialized for Mandarin speakers, while in the latter role, they worked with a team supporting a school in Uganda. Briek then joined MentorcliQ as a Customer Success Coach and Implementation Project Manager before becoming a Startup Consultant at Startups.co in 2017. They provided consulting services to startups until 2020 when they joined Loop as an Onboarding Manager. Currently, Briek serves as a Senior Onboarding Manager at Loop. Additionally, Briek was a Venture for America Fellow from 2015 to 2018, gaining hands-on experience in building a business and receiving mentorship and ongoing support to become a successful entrepreneur.

Briek Pauwels attended the University of Oklahoma from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
