Anthony Woods has a diverse work experience starting in 2001 as a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge, where they conducted research in Main Group and Organometallic Chemistry. Anthony also served as a lecturer and supervisor for chemistry students. In 2004, they transitioned to the industry and joined ICI Paints as a European Graduate Scheme Employee, later becoming a Project Manager. In 2008, they moved to AkzoNobel, where they held various roles in research and development, including European R&D Manager for Wood Finishes and Adhesives, and Category R&D Programme Manager for Decorative Paints. From 2015 to 2020, they worked at AkzoNobel as a Wood Market Segment Vice President and Research & Development Vice President for Wood Coatings, leading global marketing and innovation strategies. In 2020, they joined Loparex as the Market Director for Graphics and Labels and currently holds the position of Global Vice President for Graphics and Labels.

Anthony Woods attended Batley Grammar School from 1986 to 1993. After completing their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Science with First Class Honors, focusing on Chemistry, at Imperial College London until 1997. Anthony then enrolled at the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Organometallic and Main Group Chemistry from 1997 to 2004. Later, in 2014, Anthony attended IMD for an undisclosed course, which they completed in 2015.
