Mick Thompson is an experienced Non Executive Director at Atlas Cloud and NorthStandard, serving in these roles since July 2021 and September 2020, respectively. Additionally, Thompson holds the position of Chair at The Clinkard Group Limited and Vice Chair at Newcastle Building Society, both of which have been active roles since April 2020 and January 2019, respectively. As a Board Trustee, Thompson contributes to the Greggs Foundation, Newcastle United Foundation, and Tyne and Wear Building Preservation Trust Limited. Furthermore, involvement with NEYouth as Supporter of Events and as Regional Treasurer for Lord's Taverners demonstrates a long-standing commitment to community engagement since 1992. Prior to these roles, Thompson was the Office/Senior Partner at KPMG LLP from 1983 to 2018, and earned a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University. Early education was completed at Royal Grammar School Newcastle.
