Austin Simms, PE, is an accomplished Application Engineer at Loren Cook Company since June 2020, specializing in laboratory exhaust systems and overseeing multiple product lines to enhance structural and application-specific analysis while maximizing manufacturing efficiency. Previously, Austin served as an Associate Design Engineer at the same company, contributing to product development and optimizing designs. Austin's experience includes an internship at Garver, focused on transportation engineering, where responsibilities included designing roadways, creating construction drawings, and estimating costs. Earlier engineering experience includes a role as an intern at Loren Cook Company, supporting air and acoustics lab technicians. Austin is also a former student-athlete at Drury University, where leadership was demonstrated as Team Captain of the baseball team. Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Mathematics from Drury University.
