Amanda Preston is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry in an outpatient clinic setting. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from St. Catherine University in December 2020. Prior to this, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Her education experience also includes an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) degree and Public Health Nursing certification.
Amanda provides diagnostic assessment and medication management for individuals ranging from ages 4-18 years old. She has a clinical interest in an array of mental health concerns including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and gender identity.
Amanda is committed to partnering with families to develop an individualized treatment plan that also improves their emotional well-being. Treatment plans are determined based on evidenced-based research and, in collaboration with the patient’s entire healthcare team whenever possible. She believes in getting to know each of her patients individually and developing a healthy, trusting relationship with them, encouraging self-advocacy to develop the most effective treatment plan.
