Daniel Townsend

Daniel Townsend is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in global health policy, strategic consulting, and advisory roles. As the Founder of Loretta since September 2023, Daniel previously served as the Constituency Manager and Focal Point for the Developed Country NGO Delegation at The Global Fund, where responsibilities included policy development and advocacy on global health issues. Additional roles include Principal Consultant at Permeo Health, leading community-focused health initiatives, and serving as a Policy Advisor at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, where strategic engagement with federal and regional counterparts was key. Daniel's academic background includes multiple degrees, with an ongoing PhD in Social and Behavioural Sciences from the University of Toronto, complemented by advanced studies in Health Policy and Data Science.
