Head Of Digital Development at L'Orient-Le Jour

Emilie Sueur has a strong background in journalism and digital development. Emilie began their career in 1998 as a journalist at L'Orient-Le Jour's international desk, where they conducted interviews, edited articles, and reported from various locations such as Iraq and Iran. In 2004, they joined Le Point, La Libre Belgique, and Le Journal du Dimanche as a News Correspondent in Beirut, a position they held until 2011. During their time at L'Orient-Le Jour, they also served as Head of the international desk, overseeing news coverage, interviews, and in-depth analysis. In addition, they led the web edition team, establishing an online newsroom and upgrading the newspaper's digital applications. Most recently, they have been appointed as the Head of digital development at L'Orient-Le Jour, starting in September 2022.

Emilie Sueur began their education at Lycée Condorcet from 1990 to 1993, where they completed their Bac scientifique. Emilie then attended University Paris Dauphine from 1993 to 1996, earning a Bachelor's degree in economy. Emilie further pursued their education at the Institute of Political Sciences in Paris from 1996 to 1998, specializing in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia.
