Andrew Akin

Andrew Akin is an experienced R&D Engineer currently employed at Los Alamos National Laboratory since August 2016, with a progression from Technician to R&D Engineer to R&D Engineer II. Prior to this, Andrew held project engineering roles at Raduction and RTD Enterprises from 2015 to August 2018. Additional project engineering experience includes a position at Dufrane Nuclear Shielding, Inc. from 2014 to 2015 and a role as Engineering Research Intern at UJV Řež, a.s. from 2013 to 2014. Andrew's early career features work as a Student Researcher at the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources from 2011 to 2013 and a Technician at Hazen Research, Inc. from 2007 to 2010. Andrew Akin earned a degree in Environmental Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology between 2010 and 2014.
