Nicholas Hutchinson

Nicholas Hutchinson is a seasoned professional in the field of materials science and engineering, currently serving as Deputy Group Leader at Los Alamos National Laboratory since March 2024. Previously, Nicholas held leadership roles at Amorphology, Inc., where responsibilities included Chief Operating Officer and VP of Material Science and Manufacturing from July 2021 to August 2023. Before that, Nicholas worked at Eutectix as Site Manager and Director of Research and Development from October 2018 to July 2021. Experience at Materion Corporation as a Senior R&D Engineer and R&D Process Engineer spanned from September 2012 to October 2018. Academic foundations were laid at The Ohio State University, where a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering was earned, along with earlier studies at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona (BS in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering) and The University of Kansas (BA in Philosophy and Psychology). Notably, Nicholas also served in the United States Navy from November 1992 to November 1998.
