Jimmy Yang

Jimmy Yang's work experience includes a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. Jimmy is currently the Head of BD at the Los Angeles Business Journal, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, Jimmy served as the Country Head at Transparent Arts starting from January 2015, where they oversaw China distribution deals for various artists and handled China touring for specific artists.

From January 2020 to April 2022, Jimmy worked at Lan Kwai Fong Group, first as the Creative Director and then as the Head Of Content. During their time there, they created shows for LKF.TV and developed TV/films for LKF Pictures. Jimmy also had the opportunity to speak at the Oriental Dreamworks Brain Trust Summit in 2017.

From January 2016 to March 2017, Jimmy held the position of Chief Vision Officer at LYL Studios, a private equity-backed China TV/Film Studio. At LYL Studios, they worked to change the Chinese entertainment industry by creating multi-season TV dramas/sitcoms and franchise films, emphasizing the use of Hollywood development methodology.

Before that, from 2013 to 2015, Jimmy served as the Head of TV Development & Operations at DMG Entertainment. In this role, they were responsible for developing new TV programming and overseeing operations.

In addition, Jimmy has also held positions as a Producer at Metan Development Group from 2011 to 2013, at Thoughtful Media Group, Inc. from 2009 to 2010, and as the Deputy General Manager at Shanghai MediaSky Group from 2003 to 2008.

Jimmy Yang attended Hong Kong International School from 1989 to 1995. Jimmy then went on to study at Pepperdine University from 1995 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in International Management.
