Leigh Sata

Leigh Sata, Ed.D., AIA, serves as the Chief Facilities Executive and Interim Vice Chancellor at the Los Angeles Community College District, leading a $15.9 billion capital improvement program for nine campuses. Previous roles include Vice President of Capital Projects and Operations at California College of the Arts, where Leigh managed the consolidation of campuses and the innovative "Double Ground" project, and Consulting Assistant Superintendent of Facilities at Sacramento City Unified School District, overseeing an equity-based Facilities Master Plan and a $750 million bond program. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Peralta Community College District, Santa Rosa Junior College, and Solano Community College, successfully managing multi-million dollar capital improvement programs. An educational background includes a Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
