Mitchell Hearns Bishop has extensive experience in conservation and curation, currently serving as Curator at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden since November 2008. In addition, Mitchell has held the position of Fellow at the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works since October 2007. Previous roles include Senior Researcher at The Getty Conservation Institute from 2003 to December 2008, where contributions were made to international conservation practices in the visual arts, and Research Associate at the same institute from 1992 to 2003. Mitchell holds a Master of Library and Information Science from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from Antioch University, Los Angeles.
