Angel J Martinez M.S. has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors. From 2020 to present, they have been working as an Associate Director at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, focusing on improving access to COVID-19 information, testing, and care delivery in communities disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.

As an Independent Consultant since 2017, Angel partners with clients to develop and implement health solutions that address overall community health across multiple sectors, with a specific focus on areas such as leadership development, community health, and program administration.

Prior to that, they pursued a Post Baccalaureate Degree in Pre-Medicine at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science from 2013 to 2015. Their undergraduate studies were completed at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they obtained a degree in Community Studies with a focus on Health Disparities and Health Policy between 2004 and 2009.
