Ashaki M. Jackson

Ashaki M. Jackson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, evaluation, and creative writing. Currently serving as the WHPI Director of Research and Evaluation at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and as the Research Portfolio Manager at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Ashaki has coordinated evaluations for various health programs and interventions since 2016. Previous roles include Evaluation Project Manager at Advanced Empirical Solutions, Contract Evaluator for Girls & Gangs, and Public Administration Analyst at UCLA Center for Healthier Children, Families & Communities. Ashaki has also contributed to qualitative data collection and analysis in various capacities at Claremont Graduate University and the J. Paul Getty Museum. With a strong educational background that includes a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and an MFA in Creative Writing, Ashaki also engages in creative writing by instructing youth in poetry fundamentals and developing social justice chapbooks.
