Kyla Rose L.

Kyla Rose L. currently serves as a Psychiatric Social Worker at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health since May 2025. Prior to this role, Kyla was a Quality Assurance Specialist and Staff Assistant at Penny Lane Centers from February 2021 to May 2025. Additionally, Kyla gained valuable experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker Intern at Primary Academy for Success School and John F. Kennedy High School between September 2022 and February 2023. Kyla also completed an MSW Student Internship at the CSUN Basic Needs Office from August 2021 to May 2022. Earlier in education, Kyla worked as a Lead Student Assistant and Student Assistant at the CSUN Learning Resource Center from August 2016 to May 2020. Kyla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Asian American Studies with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge, and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the same institution, expected to be completed in 2024.
