Matt Dean

Matt Dean is a qualified legal professional with extensive experience in both law and software engineering. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney and Post-Bar Fellow at Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers since August 2021, Matt previously held a Legal Intern position at The Legal Aid Society and was Managing Editor for St. John's Law Review. Matt's judicial internships included notable placements with the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Matt accumulated significant experience in software development, having held roles such as Senior Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters and Partner/Lead Software Developer at Ocius Medical Informatics, where Matt focused on creating database-driven solutions and automating systems. Matt holds a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory and Composition from Heidelberg University.
