Lara Honey-Brooks

Lara Honey-Brooks currently serves as Chief of Staff at the Los Angeles LGBT Center since September 2023. Previously, Lara held various leadership positions at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation from August 2016 to September 2023, including Chief Program Officer and Interim Vice President of Programs. In addition, Lara was the Executive Director of the Chicago Youth Storage Initiative and a consultant at multiple organizations, conducting needs assessments and implementing youth programs. Lara has extensive experience in managing and developing services for LGBTQ youth and youth experiencing homelessness while advocating for policy changes. Lara earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Michigan from 1999 to 2002.
