Tony Mostrom is a seasoned book reviewer and culture journalist with extensive experience in literary criticism and writing. Currently self-employed since November 2019, Tony contributes to various publications including Pleasekillme.com, Los Angeles Review of Books, and LA Weekly. Since 2017, Tony has been a book reviewer and essayist for the Los Angeles Review of Books, while maintaining a long-standing role at LA Weekly since June 1986 as a book reviewer, music and travel writer, and L.A. history expert. From 2010 to 2014, Tony served as a columnist for the L.A. Times. Tony graduated from Van Nuys High School, which is also notable for being attended by Marilyn Monroe.
