Jason Wells is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in editorial leadership. Currently serving as the Managing Editor of Daily News at LAist.com since July 2023, Wells is also the Executive Editor of News at BuzzFeed, where involvement spans breaking international events, immigration issues, and celebrity legal matters from the Los Angeles bureau. With a long-standing tenure at the Los Angeles Times since 2005, Wells holds the role of Assistant Morning Assignment Editor, focusing on significant local news, while also managing coverage and editorial operations for Times Community News. Jason Wells earned a BA in Journalism and Political Science from San Diego State University between 2001 and 2005.
