Nick Leyva

Nick Leyva is an experienced journalist with a strong background in sports editing and copy editing. Currently serving as a Multiplatform Editor II at the Los Angeles Times since September 2018, Leyva previously held significant roles, including Assistant Sports Editor and Sports Desk Copy Chief at Southern California News Group from April 2016 to September 2018. Leyva's extensive experience also includes supervising the sports copy desk at the Orange County Register/Riverside Press-Enterprise for over two decades, as well as positions at various publications such as the San Bernardino Sun and The Orange County Register. Leyva holds a communications degree in journalism from California State University, Fullerton.
