VP Of Advertising at Los Angeles Times

Penn Jones has a diverse and extensive work experience. Penn started their career as the West Coast Manager at Hearst Corporation in 1989, and later became the National Advertising Director for InStyle Magazine at Time Inc. In this role, they developed retail and event marketing programs for major brands such as Lexus, Nike, and Nordstrom. Penn then moved on to become the VP of Corporate Sales West Coast at Time Inc., managing multiple corporate accounts and overseeing $120MM in revenue. After that, they became a Founding Partner and Director at Virtus Media Sales, where they secured digital, out-of-home, and print contracts, and developed online sales strategies for various clients including Amazon, Toyota, and Sony. Penn also worked as the Publisher for Los Angeles Times Magazine, overseeing all sales, marketing, business development, and editorial efforts. Prior to their current role, they were the Director of Multi-Media Sales at USA TODAY Sports Media Group. Penn Jones is currently working as the VP of Advertising at Los Angeles Times.

Penn Jones attended the University of Southern California from 1979 to 1984. Penn earned an AB degree in Broadcast Sports Information, with a focus on Journalism and Physical Education.
