Mike Tarr

Mike Tarr has extensive experience in the tourism and convention industry. Mike began their career in 1991 as the Director of Natl. Accounts at Westin Hotels and held this position until 1997. From 1997 to 1999, they served as the Director of Sales at Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau. Mike then joined the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority as the Sr. Manager Regional Sales, a role they held from 1999 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Vice President of Sales at Choose Chicago. Following that, they worked as the Director, Global Accounts at HelmsBriscoe from 2015 to 2017. Most recently, Mike has been the National Director of Convention Sales for the Midwest and Northwest Regions at the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board since 2017.

Mike Tarr attended Northwood University but the duration and degree obtained are unknown. Mike also obtained a Certificate of Completion in Achieving Leadership Success Through People from the American Management Association in 2013.
