Gregory Sliwoski has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and biomedical informatics. Gregory started their career as a Research Assistant at the Center for Cognitive Brain Imaging in 2001 and worked there until 2004. In 2005, they joined McLean Hospital as a Research Technician and stayed until 2009. Gregory then moved on to Vanderbilt University, where they worked as a Computational Biologist at the Center for Structural Biology from 2010 to 2016. After that, Gregory joined the Vanderbilt University Department of Biomedical Informatics as a Post Doctoral Trainee from 2016 to 2019. Currently, they are employed at Lose It! as a Senior Data Scientist since April 2019 and has recently been promoted to the position of Principal Data Scientist in May 2023.
Gregory Sliwoski has a strong education background with degrees from three reputable institutions. Gregory began their education at Carnegie Mellon University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology and Biological Sciences. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at Vanderbilt University, receiving a Master of Science (MS) degree in Pharmacology. Gregory further pursued their academic interests at Leipzig University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry.
