Jawish Hameed

Jawish Hameed has a diverse range of work experience spanning several companies and roles. Jawish is currently the Vice President of Engineering at LottieFiles, where they oversee engineering operations. Prior to this, they served as a Lead Engineer at the same company, working on Lottie and dotLottie file formats and building related tools and SDKs.

In 2016, Hameed held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Hummingbird Travel, contributing to the company's technological development. Jawish also served as a Member of the Language Committee at the Academy of Dhivehi Language during the same period, and as a Member of the Faculty Advisory Committee at the Faculty of Science, Maldives National University from 2015 to 2017.

Before these roles, Hameed was the Chief Software Architect at Semicolon from 2011 to 2015, where they played a key role in software architecture and development. Jawish also served as the Director of Technova Pvt Ltd from 2005 to 2011 and as Director of PlayRobots Ltd from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Consultant at Onefish Twofish Ltd from 2008 to 2010.

Hameed's early career included roles at The President's Office, Maldives. Jawish started as a Web Developer, responsible for the development and daily updating of the official website. Later, they became a Junior Computer Programmer, designing and developing a new database system for government employee and remuneration management. Jawish also handled database administration for the government employee and remuneration database and maintained the official website of the President's Office.

Jawish Hameed completed their education in two different institutions. In 2004, they obtained a Foundation degree in Computer Science from the University of Otago. Then, from 2005 to 2009, they pursued an MEng degree in Artificial Intelligence & Cybernetics at the University of Reading. Additionally, they earned a certification as a Zend Certified PHP Engineer in September 2004 from Zend institution.
