Livio Vanghetti has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Livio currently holds the position of Director of Strategy Planning and Communication on the Bid Committee at Expo 2030 Roma. Prior to this, Livio held various leadership roles at Philip Morris International, including Global Vice President of Partnership & Public Affairs, Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Duty Free, Vice President of Corporate Affairs for the European Union, and Managing Director in Slovakia. Livio's career also includes a role as Vice President of Marketing and Communication at Lottomatica. Their early professional experience began as the Chief Editor of Economic Affairs at Adnkronos.

Livio Vanghetti began their education at Sapienza Università di Roma in 1980 and graduated with a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in 1986. After completing their law degree, Livio Vanghetti pursued further education in strategic thinking and planning at Columbia University. Livio then attended IMD to earn a degree in CFO for non finance. Livio Vanghetti also furthered their education in digital marketing and communication at Stanford University.
